The most common way to make espressos and lattes is with a special espresso machine, but you can also make it with a stove-top espresso pot or French press.
Latte: this beverage involves steamed milk and espresso combined into one cup. There is no standard for how much espresso or frothed milk should go in each cup, but ideally 1/3 of the drink would be made up of the strong caffeine while the other 2/3 would be milk and froth.
Cappuccino: a cappuccino consists of 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk, and 1/3 foamed milk. The foam on top is produced by injecting steam into cold milk at high pressure which creates tiny bubbles that can be whisked into a smooth cloud such as the one pictured above.
Brewing coffee: coffee can be brewed using either an automatic drip brewer or a pour over coffee maker. Automatic drip brewers work through gravity, where hot water drips onto ground beans inside a filter cup before passing through to the carafe below. Pour over brewers use manual force instead of gravity by pouring heated water over the grounds in small portions to create a flavorful coffee.
Different types of coffees are made with different types of beans and different types of roasts.
· *Instant coffee is made from freeze-dried or spray-dried coffee that dissolves quickly when added to hot water. Instant coffee has more caffeine than non-instant coffee because removing the water eliminates some of the natural process that breaks down caffeine during regular brewing processes. It also often contains sugar, which many people prefer over milk or cream
· *Espresso is a small amount brewed coffee, usually served in a demitasse cup. Other names for espresso include café solo, caffe, crema, moca, shot, express and Italian roast . Espresso gets its flavor from this short brewing process (about 20 seconds); this produces a more concentrated coffee

· *Percolated coffee is brewed under pressure with very hot water. The hot water passes through the ground beans, extracting flavor and oil to create percolated coffee’s distinctive taste. Hot water is slowly forced into a chamber above a filter of grounds through a tube instead of being allowed to drip on them from above, as in typical brewing methods
Black Coffee – Black or straight up – has no creamers or sugars added. It’s usually the choice of people who are trying to cut back on calories.
Cappuccino – This coffee features espresso and cream, topped with a dusting of cocoa powder
Americano – Made from hot water and espresso shots. It has fewer caffeine than black coffee but can be ordered in any strength you choose
Café au Lait – Traditionally made with equal parts of coffee and steamed milk, it’s also sometimes made with half-and-half. Caf é au lait is French for “coffee with milk”
Mocha – This popular drink consists of brewed, strong drip coffee combined with chocolate syrup and steamed milk (or half-and-half). It usually comes as a latte that substitutes chocolate for the usual espresso
Latte – This coffee drink combines espresso with steamed milk. The strength of the coffee is often determined by the darkness of the roast, but it can also be customized to your preference
